While cooking dinner tonight, I told Beatrice that Ed McMahon had passed away today. She had never heard of him before, and asked what did he did. I told her that he was Johnny Carson's sidekick on the "Tonight Show".
Gertie came in and said, "So he knew that stuff was gonna happen before it did?" I just stood there for a minute, trying to understand what the two could possibly have to do with each other. Then it dawned on me.
Psychic.
She thought that he was Johnny Carson's psychic.
What an imagination, that one.
